Initial Logo Designs & Vector Developments

The image on the left is my initial design sketches for my logo. I used my previous research to inform my design decisions. I then took my initial sketches and used illustrator to develop some of them into vector drawings.

I particularly liked the idea of this logo design. I like the mixture of straight and curved lines and how they compliment each other whilst creating the foundations of the logo. This is the starting point for my logo - I will then develop this design through the use of editing software's such as Adobe Illustrator.

Here is a vector drawing of my chosen design. I have developed it by using the pen tool to trace around my pencil design. However I feel as though the logo was not completed looking how I originally planned. The logo looks very unprofessional and messy due to the untidy outlines. I also feel as though the font was too simple and childlike. In order to improve the logo design I experimented with different effects for the font.

Here I have experimented with the typography which will essentially be the focal point of the logo and will represent the brand name. Therefore it is crucial that I create something that is appropriate for my brand's theme.
