Business Cards

For these business cards I wanted to experiment with what textures and colours work well with one another whilst keeping to the vintage aesthetic.

For this business card I feel as though the texture of the pattern works well, however the sandy colour with the white incorporated within it creates a very flat effect and is not visually pleasing.
I feel as though this business card is more successful than the last in terms of meeting the vintage aesthetic purely based on the floral background. However the deep red colour subtracts the vintage theme as its highly unlikely to see bright bold colours in vintage designs. Your more likely to see subtle colours.
From the above comment I have decided to experiment with the use of subtle colours, although I did not want to purely stick to creams and beige's and so incorporated a subtle salmon pink colour which ties in nicely with the rest of my designs.
I feel as though the contact information was too small on the above design and so I have enlarged it along with the background colour so that the floral design results to creating an organised border.
I this this business card design is the most successful as the card itself is the company logo, which in itself advertises the company. I have included the contact information which could be improved even further by  balancing out the placement to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I like the use of the subtle lilac and soft yellow colour as it suits the vintage theme of my designs very well. I also think the dotted lines surrounding the design is very successful as it gives the impression that it has been sewn and again, gives a more personal touch to the design.
Here I was purely experimenting with another composition for the card using a floral background which incorporates that off cream colour which has connotations of a vintage style. However I feel as though all of the different aspects of the design does not work entirely well with one another.

I think this business card design could be successful if it were in the colour scheme of all of my other designs. I like the fact that this card does not fall under the basic business card in a horizontal rectangular fashion, by turning it the other way and therefore making it different from the rest, it makes the card more memorable and eye catching.
